Disclaimer

This service is not designed to replace a diagnostic medical consultation, if you are suffering from health problems you MUST see a clinician.

Please note that this testing service is not designed for clinically urgent cases as blood samples are referred to an external laboratory for analysis. Turnaround times listed on the website should be treated as a guideline to when patients should expect to receive results. Clinically urgent blood tests should only be ordered under the care of a registered medical practitioner, not on a self-request basis

Patients making an appointment for a blood test on a self-request basis should be aware that they will receive the laboratory report for the selected test only and consent for test results to be emailed to their booking email address.

Health & Safety Statement

Carpathia Wellness Hub Health & Safety Statement

At Carpathia Wellness Hub, we place great importance on the health and safety of our staff and users of our services, facilities, and equipment. We recognise that our activities may impact the environment and are committed to protecting it at all levels.

Senior management is dedicated to eliminating exposure to hazards wherever possible. When that’s not feasible, we aim to minimise risks through suitable and effective controls. We will take all necessary steps to comply with relevant regulations, including the Health and Safety at Work (Jersey) Law 1989, Fire Precautions (Designated Premises) (Jersey) Regulations 1979, and the Fire Precautions (Jersey) Law 1977, along with all supporting health, safety, and environmental regulations related to our operations.

Senior management is committed to:

  • Preventing accidents and work-related illnesses.
  • Providing safe access and egress, a secure working environment, and safe systems of work.
  • Maintaining equipment and ensuring the safe handling, storage, and transport of hazardous substances.
  • Offering instruction, information, training, and, where appropriate, supervision to ensure competency in all aspects of safe working.

We are dedicated to implementing and maintaining an Environmental Management System (EMS) in line with ISO 14001:2015.

The objectives of senior management are to:

  •  Enhance awareness of environmental performance and responsibilities among all staff.
  • Minimise waste and pollution while adopting environmentally sound waste management practices.
  • Reduce fossil fuel consumption and integrate long-term strategies for energy efficiency into our planning and development.
  • Promote a purchasing policy that prioritises products and services with minimal environmental impact whenever possible.
  • Avoid the use of environmentally harmful substances and materials wherever practical.
  • Encourage continual improvement by setting and reviewing environmental objectives.

We are committed to ensuring that sufficient resources are allocated to meet the needs of this policy.

Risk assessments and safe systems of work will be developed, and all reasonable steps will be taken to keep staff informed of changes affecting their work or environment, in line with our duty as an employer to consult with employees.

Every staff member is responsible for familiarising themselves with the safety and environmental rules applicable to their department, as well as any relevant rules for areas they may visit while carrying out their duties.

We will collaborate and communicate with the organisations we work with, including providers of premises, equipment, and services, to ensure that our strategic health, safety, and environmental requirements are met. This policy statement is supported by the necessary organisational arrangements to encourage full recognition and commitment to its importance.
